Alabama Hills Memorial Day Weekend blowout

Allright, this it it, the Grand opening to summer fun. This one is gonna be epic, at 10'000 feet. Go ahead and sign up if you know what to expect from one of my runs. I promise to pull out all the bells and whistles, and provide more details in the next few days

Time: 9:30 Saturday Morning. Early arrivals may meet early, we will be camping at Alabam Hills

Direction to Meeting location: From Lone Pipe, head west on Whitney Portal rd, until you see the Alabama Hills sign, turn right onto dirt rd, and drive 1 mile

Trails: We will be doing many trails, none too hard, but all very scenic. There will be a signup soon. These are some of the trails on our agenda.
Papoose Flats
Coyote Flats and Laurel Lakes
Cerro Gordo
Bodie and Mono Lake
Reward Mine Drive Through
Other runs TBA

Duh...... I'll be there.. Better to break a Jeep in a crowd of people than alone :rofl: At least I know I will get pulled out.

:rofl: 152000 miles its already broke the F*** in. My only concern is exploding my front diff. I know it hasn't been used much if at all in the last 14 years.

I am a maybe until I here more details, facilities etc.

You know Senna and I, we don't mind camping but it has to have facilities or somewhere to put our luggable loo! At 4, Senna hasn't quite perfected the squat! :eek:)

Hi Kory, as for the PETT, bring a tarp, open the two doors, drape the tarp between them and set up right there. It's very private and all essentials can be put away in record time. This is a been there, done that kind of thing.

Ok, of course they are not alchohol free, I plan to get plastered after the runs. But please be responsible:) I have a date tonite, so I will add details tomorrow. Thinking of camping at Alabama Hills on Friday night for ealy arrivals. There are bathrooms and other facilities. Saturday night, is up in the air, i will do some research this weekend, see if any campgrounds we me use have facilities

Im prerunning it in a couple of weeks, so I have not been there yet, although I have been to the are quite oftem. From what I have been reading, Baker creek is the area to do a group camp, but, I will verify when we get there on the pre-run. Also thinking of doing a couple of other tarails in the area, maybe see Bodie

damn....now i have to behave myself cause there will be a SPY IN THE MIX. LOL maybe i'll just ask phil to go and you guys can all talk shop while i drink, get drunk, and fall down. :)

hes always invited to go with me....but usually decides not to and i think he actually likes getting me out of the house for the weekend. i'm sure he'll tell you to watch me though and make sure i dont break anything. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
